The 2009-2024 Toyota 4Runner Hamilton Premium Conversion Kit has wireless CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as a premium Hamilton interface available outside of CarPlay that allows you to load apps directly onto the unit. It supports 4G SIM cards from T-Mobile.

Is the 2009-2024 Toyota 4Runner Hamilton Premium Conversion Kit for CarPlay and Android Auto hard to install?
This head unit upgrade kit is definitely a bit harder to install than our other head unit for the 2014-2019 Toyota 4Runner, the 2014-2019 Toyota 4Runner Apple Carplay Conversion Kit. That being said, it is still pretty straightforward to DIY this kit and we include a full installation video with purchase. An install usually takes about 2-4 hours.
What is the warranty on this kit?

This looks completely different than my current 2009-2024 Toyota 4Runner dash. Will it fit?
Yes. This kit is designed to completely update the look and feel of your 2009-2024 Toyota 4Runner dash to look like the brand new 6th Generation Toyota 4Runner (model year 2025+). Our head unit completely fits in place of your current head unit and has everything needed to update your dash to the newest look.
We also include some pieces that re-reroute your air vents to be under the brand new 13.1 inch screen. These plastic pieces easily fit behind your head unit, and our installation video explains the process in detail.
Should I expect any feature changes/differences from factory equipment?
Because our system replaces portions of the factory head unit, a few normal behavior changes apply:
All 2009-2024 4Runners
- Radio: FM is retained. The factory head unit is completely replaced. This means the XM/AM tuner is no longer available; SiriusXM is accessed through the SiriusXM app on your phone or on the Conversion Kit via LTE/CarPlay.
- Maintenance: Dash service reminders continue to work, but Toyota’s Entune Logbook program is no longer available.
- Dash Compass: If your 4Runner displays a compass in the cluster, it originates from the original head unit. Removing that unit removes the compass.
2009-2013 Models Only
- Installation follows our 2014-2019 video; simply use the connectors labeled “2009–2013.” There is not a specific video for the 2009-213 but installation is nearly identical to 2014-2019.
- Factory USB ports are not powered on the 2009-2013 4Runner. New Hamilton USB leads are provided for routing to your glovebox or another location.
- Many but not all factory microphones on 2009-2013 4Runners are compatible with the Hamilton Conversion Kit. If needed, a quality Hamilton external microphone is included. All 2014-2024 versions support the factory microphone.
2020-2024 Models Only
- Hazard light activation/cancellation uses a double press instead of a single press.
- OEM 360° cameras continue to work and can be manually triggered with the camera button or automatically in high-range when enabled. They do not auto-display in low range. Select “OEM 360 Cameras” at checkout so we configure your order correctly.
