Yes. Hamilton Conversion Kits replace the factory head unit completely on Toyota vehicles. Because of this, some factory functions are superseded or behave differently. The following notes are provided so you enter installation with accurate expectations:

XM/AM Tuner Replacement
Toyota’s factory radio tuner is replaced completely as part of the upgrade. FM/AM radio continues to function normally through a new Hamilton tuner, and SiriusXM access is available through the SiriusXM app in Apple CarPlay or 4G streaming. Factory XM radio is longer available.

Maintenance & Vehicle Apps
Toyota maintenance reminders and mileage warnings continue to display in the gauge cluster as normal. Factory maintenance apps previously accessed through the original screen are no longer used.

Factory Compass Display
If equipped with an on-dash compass (N/S/E/W indicators), these originate from the original head unit and will no longer display after upgrade installation.
The Hamilton Conversion Kit has L and R channel RCA outputs, as well as a sub output for easy use with amps that accept dual RCA inputs for a 5-channel amp. It also has an optical port. Hamilton Motor Company currently does not have full support published for aftermarket amplifiers. This feature is currently labeled "Beta" for users who wish to use it, and Hamilton offers limited support. In the future, Hamilton will have full support.
The Hamilton Conversion Kit does support aftermarket reverse and 360 camera systems. These features are considered "Beta" features, and Hamilton offers limited support/guidance on these. We have more details and full support coming soon.
This head unit looks awesome in my 18 4runner !!! It took me a while to install, because it was my first time ever installing a radio. But It was pretty much plug in play, plus I watched the how to video. And the customer service was very helpful.

Had in the car for 2 weeks. Installation was fun, the current wiring harness only has what you need. It fits so solid, no squeaks or rattles. The Apple car play works well. All the steering controls work just fine. The camera is better. It puts out more power, the EQ is much better. Very happy with it.
I purchased for my wife’s Birthday for her 2017 Limited 4 runner. She really wanted car play. This head unit is amazing first Hamilton kit is completely plug and play! For a factory fit and finish this is the unit you want! Total install took me about an hour. They have multiple YouTube how to videos. My wife absolutely loves the new head unit her screen is 3x bigger than factory. She loves how her visibility is so much better on the back up camera. Every function works as it should including steering wheel, he hands free calling even improved. Call. And out have night and day clarity difference. If your on the fence look no further.Hamilton is who you want to do business with.

Installed this in my wife's 4runner. Initially we had some connection problems but after restarting her phone everything works perfectly. It looks factory and matches the dash.
I originally bought a different brand off Amazon and there were all sorts of little issues. The Hamilton unit is as advertised and was easy to install. I do wish it would boot up and sync with my phone more quickly. I would recommend it.

Product looks great, was easy to install. As for the company the site was easy to use, it arrived within 2 days as stated. One small issue was with the vent control, it didn't sit right ,but overall I love the radio and the look.
Everything works great! It is a great option when you still love your 4Runner, but want the modern technology. Money well spent considering the alternative was to buy a new car!
