Yes. Hamilton Conversion Kits replace the factory head unit completely on Toyota vehicles. Because of this, some factory functions are superseded or behave differently. The following notes are provided so you enter installation with accurate expectations:

XM/AM Tuner Replacement
Toyota’s factory radio tuner is replaced completely as part of the upgrade. FM/AM radio continues to function normally through a new Hamilton tuner, and SiriusXM access is available through the SiriusXM app in Apple CarPlay or 4G streaming. Factory XM radio is longer available.

Maintenance & Vehicle Apps
Toyota maintenance reminders and mileage warnings continue to display in the gauge cluster as normal. Factory maintenance apps previously accessed through the original screen are no longer used.

Factory Compass Display
If equipped with an on-dash compass (N/S/E/W indicators), these originate from the original head unit and will no longer display after upgrade installation.
The Hamilton Conversion Kit has L and R channel RCA outputs, as well as a sub output for easy use with amps that accept dual RCA inputs for a 5-channel amp. It also has an optical port. Hamilton Motor Company currently does not have full support published for aftermarket amplifiers. This feature is currently labeled "Beta" for users who wish to use it, and Hamilton offers limited support. In the future, Hamilton will have full support.
The Hamilton Conversion Kit does support aftermarket reverse and 360 camera systems. These features are considered "Beta" features, and Hamilton offers limited support/guidance on these. We have more details and full support coming soon.
Looks amazing and does function good. But i have to say i hope this reaches the owners, the mess of wires this product comes with is boarder-line unacceptable. When watching the tutorial you hear the installer say “we spent so much money doing..etc” well thats awesome but theres no dollar amount that would give a customer satisfaction of not including the unneeded wires for my application. It is just a mess rat ball of wires. All in all its the best product you can get for these vehicles but please save your customers the major headache of unnecessary wires. Thank you Hamilton!

Very happy with my purchase. Works fantastic right from the start. Install is super easy and has an upgraded harness that is easier to install than what the install video had. The bigger screen is a great bonus and I would highly recommend if anyone is thinking of an upgraded conversion kit. The 3 year warranty is an added bonus.
This head unit looks awesome in my 18 4runner !!! It took me a while to install, because it was my first time ever installing a radio. But It was pretty much plug in play, plus I watched the how to video. And the customer service was very helpful.

Had in the car for 2 weeks. Installation was fun, the current wiring harness only has what you need. It fits so solid, no squeaks or rattles. The Apple car play works well. All the steering controls work just fine. The camera is better. It puts out more power, the EQ is much better. Very happy with it.
I purchased for my wife’s Birthday for her 2017 Limited 4 runner. She really wanted car play. This head unit is amazing first Hamilton kit is completely plug and play! For a factory fit and finish this is the unit you want! Total install took me about an hour. They have multiple YouTube how to videos. My wife absolutely loves the new head unit her screen is 3x bigger than factory. She loves how her visibility is so much better on the back up camera. Every function works as it should including steering wheel, he hands free calling even improved. Call. And out have night and day clarity difference. If your on the fence look no further.Hamilton is who you want to do business with.

Absolutely amazing upgrade!
Researched different systems and based on what I learned I chose the Hamilton Conversion Kit for my 4Runner. Purchased it and had it installed through Mobile Auto Services in Elizabethtown KY. Fit is original equipment level and it has a clean look. Interface is good. An additional bonus is that the integral equalizer is significantly better than the original one. The ability to balance and control the sound output really woke up the sound quality. CarPlay connects easily and you still have functionality of all your steering wheel controls. Brought my 4Runner up to date.
So far so good. I replaced a T10 unit with the Hamilton. the T10 lasted 3 years then went blank and kept blowing it's fuse. Turns out there was a short in the back of the unit and the wires were melting. The radio didn't have much range and the mic was terrible for calls also. We took the Hamilton for a 15 hour drive and it seemed much better on radio stations and mic. I'll hold one star in reserve because I've only had it for a couple or weeks. I also called into your service dept with a few questions before I bought it, the young man was very helpful. So far so good!
