What is required for the installation?
Only basic technical skills and rudimentary tools are required to install the 2013-2018 Lexus IS Hamilton Conversion Kit for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. We include a full instruction manual. No wire splicing or modifications are required.
Will I lose any factory functionality?
Our kit preserves all factory functionality of your car, including your steering wheel controls and backup camera. Factory navigation will be replaced by Apple Maps, Google Maps, Waze, or the platform of your choosing.
Does this work with all trim models?
It sure does. Regardless of your options package, it will work just fine.
Does this replace my factory screen or just add CarPlay to my factory screen?

It sure does. Our 2013-2018 Lexus IS Apple Hamilton Conversion Kit for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto is compatible with all trim versions and is entirely plug-n-play. It also is fully compatible with Mark Levinson audio and will not cause any quality change.

What is the use of the small speaker included with the package?
When playing music from your phone via CarPlay/Android Auto, all audio and navigation sounds will play via the car speakers. If you desire to play audio from the factory sealed XM, FM, or AM radio channels while having CarPlay/Android Auto navigation on the screen, CarPlay/Android Auto navigation and notification sounds will play via that small speaker we include.
It is a really cool feature that allows us to mix audio from CarPlay/Android Auto into your factory sealed radio channels (XM, FM, AM).
How do I play audio?
The 2013-2018 Lexus IS Hamilton Conversion Kit full supports Mark Levinson.
For streaming music via CarPlay, we equip our units to use AUX mode by default audio setup here. If you prefer to use factory Bluetooth (we recommend AUX mode by default), customer service can assist you in switching a setting on your device so you would use factory Bluetooth instead of AUX mode.
