The rear seat screens in my vehicle seem a bit useless - esp. after upgrading the factory HU. A dead simple airplay/whatever-android-does receiver to plug into each rear screen would be awesome.
One could display connection info on the screen by default, and users could just cast whatever they're doing on their phone to the bigger and more comfortable screen.
Things like this exist - there are hdmi dongles everywhere. I think the real value adds would be: solid kiosk mode execution, easy factory harness integration, and an opportunity for additional integrations into a Hamilton HU.
This feels like a novel/niche product that people don't know they want yet. The death of redbox, and by extension availbility of dvds to pick up and watch on a road trip, have made the screens useless. Make them awesome instead!
