Just installed the CarPlay unit in my 2017 Lexus Rx350. Everything works with the exception of my camera. I triple checked that the yellow wire was correctly connected, yet when I go in reverse I get a gray blank screen. I do not have the 360 camera either. Any suggestions?
Hi Spencer,
Thanks for bringing this to our attention. I believe our support team was able to assist you with this over email. Thanks
Having the same issue, same car, what was the fix? Thanks
Whether you have the mouse or knob version, download our wiring diagram here at

Ususally when the backup camera is not working it's because you have forgotten to connect the thick black connector from the back of the factory screen. On the knob version it connects to the female socket labeled OEM Camera. On the mouse version it connects to the female socket labeled "Monitor."
New installation in 2017 Lexus NX and had the same problem. Checked and found I did everything correctly. BUT...I thought the yellow camera connector felt a little loose. Yes, I taped all of the RCA connectors on my initial install. I pushed in the outside of the male connector, reconnected, retaped, and reinstalled everything.
Presto! The backup camera now works. In fact I'm wondering if I did enough to ensure a solid connection but, right now, I don't want to repeat all the steps required to reach that point.
