2016-2019 Lexus RX Hamilton Conversion Kit for CarPlay® and Android Auto™

Very pleased with this purchase. Install was straightforward and easy to follow. I put my iPad on the dash with the Youtube instruction video playing, and took my time with each step. Took a couple of hours, but again I wasn't in a hurry. The connection is flawless and makes the inside of the vehicle look and feel like a brand new car. Great product!

Great product, easy to install if you dont get overwhelmed with installing and taking apart interior components.

I am completely blown away! Installation was very easy and straightforward after watching the installation video. Very quick and responsive interface, audio through CarPlay on the Hamilton unit sounds better than the factory Bluetooth. Screen is bright and vibrant even in direct sunlight. Completely blends into the aesthetic of the interior, it looks 100% stock once installed. 10/10 would recommend this upgrade to anyone that has an older RX!!

Product is wonderful. Instructions for Knob install not so much. Example there are wires shown for AV in that do not apply to this model as well as video for instructions are only half helpful.
iPhone CarPlay utilizes Bluetooth and WiFi so it takes a little bit for the device to realize there is not internet before prompting to use “cell data”. It would be nice if the instructions told you how to permanently enable this on iPhones.

So happy for the purchase! Now we will be able to get a few more years out of my wife’s car.

I’ve only had it for a couple weeks but it has been a great upgrade to my factory navigation. The install was straightforward and there are plenty of YouTube install videos to help you if you are not good at following along the included diagram. In addition I’ve downloaded other apps like HBOMax and Netflix to watch while I’m sitting idle waiting for a period of time. I’ll update in 6 months to see how it holds up.

The ease of installation and setup of the Hamilton Conversion Kit was fantastic! As an experienced technician I found the instructions and You Tube video super easy to follow and the results are fantastic! Easy to install, easy to set up, and easy to use and navigate. Great product and the support team was over the top helpful, returned my call right away to get the day code for the camera set up, and were super friendly. 10 out of 10

So far so good, definitely an upgrade over the OEM system. Only minor complaint is the boot up screen doesn't say "Lexus" anymore. I had my system installed by a listed partner on the website. Dario from splice did great work seemless transfer and great explanation of how to use the system.

Works good but slow hooking up to bluetooth after restart

This conversation on my wife's RX350 went great. I YouTube video explained things very clearly and at a pace I could easily pause, do the work, and then resume the video. No issues at all and my wife loves it. Money well spent! Great job Hamilton!

Wife was very surprised by this kit. She's been asking for AA/ACP for several years now, and she had kind of given up hope. I installed it at home in the garage in a few hours time frame, I had one little hickup that was addressed by a quick call to tech support. They walked me through changing one setting and it got my 360 cameras operational.

We have not been able to drive the vehicle yet. really looking forward to our next road trip in her car

This monitor went in perfectly and the customer service representative was amazing! They sent me a piece that I needed directly to the shop where it was being fixed and answered all of our questions. Highly recommend.

I have a 2017 RX350 with the 12.3 inch screen and the mouse. The install wasn’t super difficult. I would highly recommend watching the video a time or two before starting. Also make sure to lay out your wires/harnesses out and follow what each are, and where they plug into. When you have a good gasp of that following the video and literally plug and play each into their respective spots is very easy. When I was finished, and after turning the car on I needed to let the car sit with the battery disconnected for a little. It was throwing a code for the ICS sonar sensors. After I let it sit disconnected, it was good as new and no error message. Also, when you get done, you’ll have to use the AUX media setting to get CarPlay to display, and play music - don’t forget to adjust the sound settings on the OEM media sound page. Mine was set to 0 on all settings and sounded okay, but after I adjusted to my liking… I was more than impressed with the sound quality the head unit boasted.
9.8/10 for the whole ordeal, and money spent. Now we’ll see if it’ll hold up over time.

A great upgrade. Having CarPlay allows useful navigation, texting and phonecalls. Works like it should. Integrates fully with steering wheel buttons. Worth the purchase. Customer service was great.

I had the Hamilton CarPlay conversion kit installed on my Lexus RX350 and I couldn’t be happier with it. It works great, connect very easily and seamlessly.
Feels like I have a new car.

The install video that Hamilton provides on YouTube made the install easy. There were several connections, but I used to manage a car audio shop. So it wasn't anything I really wasn't used to.

I felt that the organization of the wires were okay. It'd be nice if they were a tad bit more organized - maybe I'm just too meticulous. However, they were mostly well thought out.

We have the 360 view camera & I did run into 2 issues with it:
- Firstly, the location of 360 box (necessary for the 360 camera function). It cannot go behind the Hamilton monitor. There's simply not enough room to allow the rear cover to install over it. This necessitates positioning the 360 box behind the clock and really stretching & pulling on the wires to get the factory connectors to reach the 360 box - 2 pigtail connectors for these factory wires would be helpful for us 360 camera owners.
- Secondly, the camera didn't work initially. After hours and hours of going back over my work, & searching on Google, yt videos, & fb pages, I finally discovered the fix was actually on the Hamilton website - buried.

There is a setting that must be changed in a "secret" menu (secret & passcode protected to prevent software damage to the unit) within the Hamilton settings.

It would be nice if there was a little note within the Hamilton paperwork referencing the fix for this issue for us 360 camera owners. Kinda frustrating considering how long these units have been out & how much they cost. Almost made me want to give only 4 stars.

However, my wife loves the Hamilton conversion monitor & it runs without any hiccups so far - unlike my Grom unit in my '10 Infiniti FX35.

Load up time is a bit slow & an animated start-up screen would be epic while waiting. Once up, it runs well and the integration into the factory system is about as seamless as one could expect an aftermarket unit to be integrated into the factory smart system of the RX350.

The 360 camera view is now full screen whereas it wasn't full screen on the stock 2019 monitor - (it had the information section on the right). The only caveat with the full screen, despite being nice that it's full screen, is that the silhouette of the RX is squashed looking. Just something to be aware of.

The auto 360 camera also works when slowing down to a stop. It's not as quickly activating as the factory system & it turns back off at a lower mph than the stock, but at least it still works. I do wish it stayed on longer though.

The resolution doesn't look any different than the stock monitor, but we haven't had the RX350 that long to be used to the old monitor - only 3 months or so, so there's that.

Overall, it's a nice unit that installs conveniently enough and Hamilton's response time to any questions is quick.

Love the new system - it makes my slightly older car feel brand new. I have features that I didn't before, it connects seamlessly and quickly, and I really couldn't be happier with the unit. It was recommended to me as the best, and I agree - get one for yourself and you'll see!

This is great! I installed it into our 2017 RX350. Using their video, the installation took roughly 3 hours for me. That included three customer service calls for clarification on operation. The install was seamless using the video. The is such a great unit for us since I have an iPhone and my wife, an Android. Much more convenient for us now. Makes the car seem brand new. Highly recommended.

I recently purchased my second CarPlay unit from Hamilton Motor Company for my 2019 Lexus RX, and once again, the experience was excellent. Their installation video gets you about 80% of the way there, but like any OEM-level upgrade, there are nuances you discover during the process—details that truly matter for a clean, professional result. I handled the install myself in about five hours, taking my time, and everything worked exactly as advertised. The CarPlay unit performs flawlessly, integrates seamlessly, and all factory functions remain fully operational. Highly recommend Hamilton Motor Company for quality products that deliver on their promise.

Great experience. Still trying to figure out how to properly use the system. Have better options than original factory system

Given the alternative was buying a newer car (~$40K) the Hamilton Kit is a terrific value. I had Car Toys install it which cost an additional $500 but it has worked very well for both my Pixel For 9 and my wife’s Apple 15. Highly recommended! Service and support has been exceptional too.

Finally a great product to update my older system. Makes my older RX feel new again! Great job!

Brady in customer service was so helpful with getting everything set up. I had an issue with the monitor and the company sent me another one which worked fine. I can't say enough good things about this company. Thank you so much.
