The 2014-2019 Toyota Highlander Hamilton Upgrade Kit for CarPlay and Android Auto physically installs into your original screen. Unlike lower end solutions which compromise resolution and stability, by installing into the screen we are able to preserve factory-grade resolution and touchscreen compatibility.
Our kit is unique in that it preserves XM, FM, AM and all factory audio modes. As well, it uses your factory microphone for top-level call quality. This system makes it feel like your 2014-2019 Toyota Highlander shipped from the factory with CarPlay and Android Auto.
Our system is fully compatible with your original touchscreen in your 2014-2019 Toyota Highlander. It also works with your factory steering wheel controls (the voice speech button will trigger Siri from your Highlander steering wheel), and the original backup camera will continue to work as well.

How do I know if I have the Panasonic radio or Pioneer?
About 90% of vehicles in the USA will have the Panasonic-made original radio in their Toyota Highlander. Take a look at the below graphic to confirm. There is a small number below your tune knob. It will only start with "P" if you have a Pioneer (rare).
Does this unit work with 360-degree birds-eye view and all cameras?
Yes, we have specifically designed and tested this unit in Raleigh, NC, so you can be confident it works with your 2014-2019 Toyota Highlander 360-degree birds-eye view and all cameras. Our engineers meticulously gathered all the data from Highlander vehicles to ensure seamless compatibility with this feature.
Can I use FM, XM, or AM radio while CarPlay/Android Auto is showing on the screen? Are all factory audio channels still available?
You can use your factory radio channels and have CarPlay/Android Auto showing on your screen with the Hamilton Upgrade Kits with one important limitation: Please note that the factory radio channels are sealed channels. This means Siri cannot talk through these channels.
When you are streaming audio via CarPlay (e.g. Spotify, Apple Music, Sirius App, etc.), your music and Siri/Navigation will come out of your vehicle speakers mixed together.
However, while using the sealed factory radio channels, you will only be able to hear radio audio. System audio (Siri, navigation sounds, phone calls) cannot be mixed into the factory radio channels.
Note: You will not be able to use the AUX port for any external media devices liked DACs or MP3 players. The Hamilton Upgrade Kit consumes this audio input for CarPlay/Android Auto.
Playing audio via the factory USB port is not supported while using CarPlay/Android Auto. If you prefer USB, please use wired CarPlay/Android Auto.
Is this system compatible with my factory JBL amplifier?
Yes, this system is fully compatible with your factory JBL amp. There will be no change to your audio quality on your 2014-2019 Toyota Highlander.
Will it retain my original CD player?
Yes, this system preserves all your factory audio channels on your 2014-2019 Toyota Highlander including your CD player, XM, FM, and AM radio.
Can I continue to use my factory USB ports?
We will be adding a new Hamilton USB for wired CarPlay. This system will have wired and wireless CarPlay/Android Auto. We would encourage you to use the Hamilton USB port when using the Hamilton system. You can continue to use your factory USB ports but you may find that the vehicle tries to set you into USB audio mode. It is best not to use USB audio mode with CarPlay. While you are not using CarPlay, you can easily use your OEM USB port.
