Has the design of the head unit changed recently? The back of my unit is blue, but all of the videos show the back being black and the design has obviously changed. Date of Product is 2025-06, No. 184R-HMC-M4(9.2) Version: TYT (9.2). I'm installing in a 2018 TRD Offroad
The wire harness connectors are now covered in foam too. because the design and wire harnesses are different than those in the installation video, the system is not as intuitive to install.
I've complete the install and the unit is working except for the following issues:
No Steering wheel controls - connections are as directed
No signal from the backup camera (I used the correct yelow RCA connector, but also tried them all)
Microphone for hands-free phone use is not working, the only way to hear is to use the accersory module with the external mic and I'd rather not have wires in the cabin.
Any quick videos or pics showing connection on this new design are appreciated.
