I purchased a Chinese brand of a replacement carplay kit several years ago, it bit the dust recently so I am looking for a replacement.
Are the Hamilton kits android auto based as ? How long do these take to boot on starting the car? I hate having to wait till I am half way out of my neighborhood befpre i can ise my unit.
anyone have a video they can share of a bootup sequence?
I have a 2017 TRD OR and the boot time is quick...it reads my phone and by the time I back out of my garage the carplay screen is up and ready to go...really a matter of seconds.
@Park Owens so would you say less than 10s?
Does anyone have a more definitive answer or a video? I saw a one year old video that showed it took over 30 seconds to boot up. That's a deal killer. I hope it's better than that.
