Blue connector TOO short!

  Good Day Everyone:

  Just sharing my experience swapping out my new premium upgrade kit in my 2020 Lexus GX 460

  THIS IS FOR NON-360 CAMERA MODELS:

  The blue factory connector (CANBUS) is too short to easily connect to unit.  DO NOT ATTACH BOTH YOUR AIR VENTS TO THE UNIT.  If you do, you will not be able to connect the blue factory connection.  I had to cut the wire tie/tape around the harness to give me a couple inches to be able to reach the unit.  While plugged in, I was able to attach the air vent.  It was tough, but was able to twist the unit around to insert the screws.

  If Hamilton would supply a short extension for this Canbus connector, it would certainly help alleviate some of the extra twists and turns needed to install this unit.

  I contacted Hamilton to share my experience and suggest they supply a short 3-4 inch extension for the Canbus

  (blue) connector.

  Hope this helps someone avoid the trouble I experienced.

  The system is working perfectly.

  I have the same issue. Watching the GX Bob install video - his unit did not have 360 cameras, but it did come with an extension for the wire with blue connectors (3.001.180). I'm guessing these extensions were left out of our batch. I'd like to get one from Hamilton. Probably won't install it until I need to remove the unit, but It'd make it a LOT easier when I do.

  I watched Bobs video too and of course the first thing I grabbed to plug in was missing!! I got the stick blue wire to plug in but still emailed Hamilton about the wire. The newer versions don't come with the wire, but they still send me the blue pigtail anyway. For free!! I just emailed them and it was sent a few days later!
