Road noise, echo and poor sound quality from microphone

  I installed the Hamilton-supplied microphone along with the full conversion kit, and when my wife calls me from the 2012 Lexus RX 350, the sound has road noise, I hear echos of my voice and the sound quality that I hear from her call is poor.  Is there a way to revert to the OEM Lexus microphone?  I read another post in the forum on a GX model and the instructions don't match what I have for choices on my system setup screens, so I was unable to follow those instructions.  Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks!   Per your recommendation, I moved the microphone to a new location, and the echos and road noise issue was mostly resolved - Thanks!  It was recommended that I move the microphone to a location near the rearview mirror, but I found that just moving slightly on the instrument panel, above the steering wheel was good enough.
