This complete kit replaces your factory screen with a brand new 10-inch touchscreen. The new screen has wireless CarPlay and Android Auto functionality and offers the ability to install external apps for added features. Engineered and tested in Raleigh, NC, the Hamilton Conversion system is in a league of its own when it comes to quality of internal components, durability, and performance.
This unit is compatible with the JBL and non-JBL Tacoma radios. It is only compatible with the OEM Tacoma radios that had the touch keys. The low-trim style Tacoma radios with physical push buttons and the small OEM display are not compatible (contact us if you have any questions).

Does this Hamilton Conversion Kit come built-in with CarPlay and Android Auto?
The Hamilton Conversion Kit for Tacoma has built-in wireless CarPlay and Android Auto.
What is the underlying Hamilton OS outside of CarPlay and Android Auto?
Hamilton equips the device with an underlying operating system available outside of CarPlay and Android Auto. You can install a 4G SIM card in the device (we recommend T-Mobile) or you can connect it to your phone's hotspot when not using CarPlay. On the Hamilton underlying OS you can download apps that may not be available including streaming apps and other features (always obey local traffic laws regarding video usage on device). Is this compatible with Tacoma radios that have the physical push buttons on the side?
This device is plug-n-play compatible with any Tacoma that has the touch-key style radio (pictured below). This is plug-n-play regardless of whether or not you have JBL version and we fully support the JBL amp.
If you have the Tacoma radio (pictured below), our Tacoma Conversion Kit is not plug-n-play. All wiring will be plug-n-play but you will need to shave your dash to install it. This is irreversible. For these customers, we recommend you consider the Tacoma Hamilton Upgrade Kit which installs into your OEM radio, adding CarPlay to your factory screen.
Should I expect any feature differences compared to the factory equipment?
Because we completely replace your factory radio, there are a few feature differences to note:
- The Hamilton Conversion Kit for Tacoma completely replaces your factory tuner. We add a new tuner for FM radio. The factory XM and AM radios are no longer accessible. To use XM, you can download the Sirius XM app on your phone and stream via CarPlay or download on the Hamilton Conversion Kit and stream via 4G/Hot Spot.
- Factory maintenance reminders will remain on the gauge cluster. Any Toyota Logbook apps from the original head unit will no longer be accessible.
- The original compass (N/S/E/W) that shows on your dash is from the factory head unit. Eliminating the factory head unit with the Hamilton Conversion Kit will cancel this feature.
