Frequently Asked Questions
What is the included small speaker for?
When streaming audio from the phone, all iPhone sounds and navigation sounds play via the car speakers. However, when you have CarPlay showing navigation on the screen while using the factory XM, FM, or AM sealed radio channels, we must use the small speaker to mix CarPlay navigation sounds into your OEM sealed radio channels. It is not possible to otherwise mix iPhone sounds into these original sealed radio channels.
The speaker is thus a cool feature that allows your device to have even more functionality.
Is it fully touchscreen and it works with my original mouse?
Yes, the device is fully touchscreen (while in the Hamilton operating system only), and it supports your original mouse both in the Hamilton OS and the original Lexus OS. You can switch between the two by long-holding the Menu button in front of the mouse.
Does it preserve Mark Levinson audio quality? How do I play music?
This device fully preserves Mark Levinson audio quality. We have a full Help Center article that discusses audio setup here using the AUX mode (for CarPlay users). For folks who prefer factory bluetooth instead of AUX mode (we recommend AUX mode by default), you can change a setting in settings to use factory Bluetooth channel. Customer Service can share an article on how to do this.

Does this retain my original 360 system? Does it appear exactly like the factory screen?
The Hamilton Conversion Kit retains your original 360 and reverse camera systems. While in reverse/in the parking sequence with the Hamilton Conversion Kit (complete replacement screen), you will not have access to the original informational pane on the right side of the factory screen. This will be occupied by a Hamilton OS graphic. Additionally, the 360 reverse system and reverse camera are enlarged slightly to make them more visible and consistent with newer Lexus vehicles. The Hamilton engineering team elected this off a vote of user feedback to make the 360 and reverse camera systems larger and more consistent with later-model Lexus vehicles. If you require the reverse/parking sequence 360 and backup camera page to be identical to the OEM car, you should consider the Hamilton Upgrade Kit (module that adds CarPlay/Android Auto to your factory screen), as the page is identical to the OEM system on that product.
