I installed the kit into my 2015 RX in mid-january. It has been great, but sometime this past week I noticed that the screen is dim during the day and carplay maps is always in dark mode (even though the carplay settings are set to automatic).
I have confirmed that the original navi is properly detecting day/night mode (it is correctly in day mode). I also explicitly tested that the original navi interface switches appropriately when the light sensor is covered/uncovered, but it doesn't have any affect on the screen brightness or carplay mode.
This is really affecting my driving experience because the screen is dimmed to like 50% brightness all the time even on the backup camera.
Anyone else experienced this or know what could be happening?
