  • How to Set Up the 360 Box for the Factory 360 Cameras 

    See the attached image. You need to make the following connections:



  • @Dave  this was completed, still no back up or 360 camera.  Do I need to program something now to make it work? Thanks

  • Question:  Where is best mount of the 360 box?  Behind the display, if so, how to route connections, under display, behind head unit?  Left front fender?  Also, best mount options for GPS antenna?  And what are the 4 bolts for supplied with the unit?  Did a smoke test and all functions seem to work for 360 and backup camera.  Also, what is the UART lead for?  Same connector for speaker

     


  • I think I spent about 6 hours on this and that included the time watching the video.

    Steps from Video

     

    1. Take off battery
    2. Remove right side molding
    3. Remove Metal looking trim
    4. Remove Start Stop button trim, OK remove wire.  You can remove the Start stop switch from the trim and hook it back up. Makes it easier to test
    5. Remove left side molding
    6. Remove 2 bolts on head unit
    7. Remove shift knob
    8. Remove MOUSE unit, disconnect
    9. Remove 2 Phillip screws
    10. Remove center console. Up and back, disconnect wires
    11. Remove trim box, remove wires
    12. Remove head unit, remove clock wire
    13. Remove front trim on display
    14. Remove 2 nuts in front of display
    15. Remove rear trim on display
    16. Remove back nut on display and remove, disconnect black, blue, and other harness
    17. Tan Harness;  Follow wiring diagram for HU Audio (Head Unit)  2 connection on head unit and one on mouse.  Accessory harness.  Tape up RCA plugs. GPS plugs into new unit
    18. Route USB down to side trim.  Behind cross member
    19. 2 connections on head unit.  Plug in to Hamilton harness. 4 HU Audio to HU
    20. Route Monitor cable to up top. Connect RCA, other connectors
    21. Connect Speaker.  Put behind HU down low below console
    22. Connect the backup 360 camera box
    23. Stow the 360 camera box behind the display, above the a/c ducts and below the dash surface.  Connectors facing up
    24. Route male and microphone up top and connect mic OEM Mike
    25. Route MOUSE wire behind bracket
    26. GPS antenna behind HU
    27. Route USB behind bracket to right side trim
    28. Connect Clock to HU, tuck wires. Replace HU
    29. Connect mouse wire
    30. Remove Red trim clips from old display trim and put on new trim
    31. Connect wires to display and place display
    32. Reconnect console wires
    33. Reconnect battery and check system. Audio on AUX. LONG PRESS ON MENU
    34. Re bolt the front display fastener
    35. Install Back display trim
    36. Re-install trim box with wires
    37. Bolt in HU, put some contact cement in the socket and on each 10mm bolts to hold it while try to feed the GD thing up there.  This should make sure you don’t drop it and ruin your day
    38. Install Center console
    39. Connect Mouse and install
    40. Install Start STOP trim
    41. Install Metal trim
    42. Install side trim panels
    43. Install shift knob
    44. Battery connect
