How to Set Up the 360 Box for the Factory 360 Cameras

If you aren't seeing your 360 cameras after plugging it all in correctly, reach out to support and we can confirm your settings are configured.

Question: Where is best mount of the 360 box? Behind the display, if so, how to route connections, under display, behind head unit? Left front fender? Also, best mount options for GPS antenna? And what are the 4 bolts for supplied with the unit? Did a smoke test and all functions seem to work for 360 and backup camera. Also, what is the UART lead for? Same connector for speaker
I think I spent about 6 hours on this and that included the time watching the video.
Steps from Video
- Take off battery
- Remove right side molding
- Remove Metal looking trim
- Remove Start Stop button trim, OK remove wire. You can remove the Start stop switch from the trim and hook it back up. Makes it easier to test
- Remove left side molding
- Remove 2 bolts on head unit
- Remove shift knob
- Remove MOUSE unit, disconnect
- Remove 2 Phillip screws
- Remove center console. Up and back, disconnect wires
- Remove trim box, remove wires
- Remove head unit, remove clock wire
- Remove front trim on display
- Remove 2 nuts in front of display
- Remove rear trim on display
- Remove back nut on display and remove, disconnect black, blue, and other harness
- Tan Harness; Follow wiring diagram for HU Audio (Head Unit) 2 connection on head unit and one on mouse. Accessory harness. Tape up RCA plugs. GPS plugs into new unit
- Route USB down to side trim. Behind cross member
- 2 connections on head unit. Plug in to Hamilton harness. 4 HU Audio to HU
- Route Monitor cable to up top. Connect RCA, other connectors
- Connect Speaker. Put behind HU down low below console
- Connect the backup 360 camera box
- Stow the 360 camera box behind the display, above the a/c ducts and below the dash surface. Connectors facing up
- Route male and microphone up top and connect mic OEM Mike
- Route MOUSE wire behind bracket
- GPS antenna behind HU
- Route USB behind bracket to right side trim
- Connect Clock to HU, tuck wires. Replace HU
- Connect mouse wire
- Remove Red trim clips from old display trim and put on new trim
- Connect wires to display and place display
- Reconnect console wires
- Reconnect battery and check system. Audio on AUX. LONG PRESS ON MENU
- Re bolt the front display fastener
- Install Back display trim
- Re-install trim box with wires
- Bolt in HU, put some contact cement in the socket and on each 10mm bolts to hold it while try to feed the GD thing up there. This should make sure you don’t drop it and ruin your day
- Install Center console
- Connect Mouse and install
- Install Start STOP trim
- Install Metal trim
- Install side trim panels
- Install shift knob
- Battery connect
