This device is designed to be installed by DIY owners, and we have a full installation video available here.
The full installation is plug-n-play. There is no splicing or wiring cutting required.
Tools required for the job:
- 8mm socket, 10mm socket, and socket wrench
- Long Phillips head screwdriver
- Plastic trim pry tool or credit card
- Towels for protection

Not at this time. Currently, we only support the dual screen system shown in our pictures. These are typically found on the higher trim versions of Honda Odyssey. If you have any questions, you can send our team a picture of your screen before starting.

While the 2014-2017 Honda Odyssey does not ship from the factory with CarPlay, you can add it with the Hamilton Upgrade Kit for CarPlay® and Android Auto™. This is a plug-n-play solution designed by world class engineers to add wireless and wired CarPlay and Android Auto right onto your factory screen without compromising your factory features.
When you are streaming content from your phone, the navigation volume from your phone will mix into your music/streaming content. However, if you are listening to the factory XM, FM, AM, or CD channels, you can have CarPlay/Android Auto navigation showing on screen while you use these factory sealed audio channels, but the audio from CarPlay/AA navigation cannot mix into these factory sealed radio channels due to factory radio limitations.

The device is honestly pretty great overall and I love that it works as if it were part of the factory system, it's pretty seamless. Love that it connects to CarPlay and immediately shows it on the screen and uses the factory bluetooth system too. Two downsides I've found are that the lane watch camera when left on for a while starts to disconnect and reconnect, also when talking to Siri it sounds muffled. Otherwise I like the upgrade and recommend it.

It would be nice if I can turn off the lane watch by pressing the button on the steering wheel while the turn signal is active so I can view Google maps if I need to.

Good instructions, product works great. Ran into a problem because I didn’t finish the video which explains connecting to the Bluetooth Honda and the Hamilton Bluetooth then WiFi connection. Patience would have helped, I was too excited to start using it. Haha. Overall it is great. No install issues and my wife loves it.

This Hamilton kit had a great installation video, and the design seems well thought out and perfectly complements the van's existing systems while adding more modern features. Having some kind of user guide and reference documentation would be nice, as one video on connecting Bluetooth and the installation video are the only references that I could find online. Hamilton is relatively quick to respond to email, but their tech support seems pretty basic.
Overall simple installation. Took less than a hour and I've never taken this dash apart before myself.
The system boots up relatively quick upon starting the vehicle. It does take a little getting used to navigating Android Auto with the factory "wheel", but it doesn't take too long. Voice control is definitely the quickest way to control things.
Only real complaints thus far is I haven't been able to get my back up camera to function since install and the side view camera "glitches" out randomly during use. There is also the random disconnect/reconnects with Android Auto, but that could be related to my phone (S22U) or the recent AA update.
Overall, this is a solid upgrade for an older vehicle looking to gain access to newer tech without greatly changing the overall appearance and without having to cut a single wire.
Truly impressive company Hamilton and its product line. Been looking at options for a few years to find a way to get CarPlay in my wife’s Honda Odyssey. Options and installs were either incomplete and also eye watering cost. Once again decided to research options and came across Hamilton. It didn’t take long after reviewing the website, their team and the videos I ordered a system upgrade kit. In short from the company website experience, company videos, the purchase, and installation I am nothing less than impressed with the overall experience and more so with the ease of install and the operational aspects of the system.

This is an excellent kit. The prewired harnesses were all clearly marked and allowed for a straight forward installation. The installation DIY video was easy to follow and I was able to install this system in a few hours with basic tools. More importantly, this Hamilton system has performed without a glitch on a long road trip. The Honda side view camera works fine and Apple CarPlay features all worked as expected. Highly recommend.
