The 2010-2015 Lexus RX Apple CarPlay Conversion Kit is both touchscreen and fully compatible with your factory vehicle mouse or knob. It is equipped with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of ROM. The Hamilton Conversion Kit is equipped with a high-end Qualcomm processor for responsive performance, making it snappy and modern in feel.
The modern high-resolution touchscreen will allow your device to be fully touchscreen in CarPlay or Android Auto. For the 2013-2015 version, the original mouse/knob will also work on the new Hamilton OS for use in CarPlay or Android Auto. For the 2010-2012 versions, the mouse will work on the original Lexus side, and CarPlay/Android Auto will be touchscreen-only. In all versions, the original Lexus side remains mouse/knob only and is not touchscreen.
The 2010-2015 Lexus RX with no mouse/no knob is the version of the car that shipped from the factory with the very basic grey monochromatic screen. For this car, you cannot switch back to see the original screen, but the features from that screen are built into the Hamilton custom operating system.

Yes, the 2009-2015 Lexus RX Hamilton Conversion Kit for CarPlay and Android Auto will keep your original backup camera, steering wheel controls, XM, FM, and AM radio, as well as access to all original Lexus OS and menus. You will not lose any factory systems with this kit.
There are four options. The 10-12 RX mouse and 13-15 RX mouse are most common.
1. 2010-12 Lexus RX Mouse (Common)
This version of mouse has large "Enter" buttons running down the side of the mouse.
2. 2010-15 Lexus RX No Mouse No Knob (Less Common)
This car has no knob or mouse but has an original monochrome grey screen that looks like a calculator.
3. 2013-15 Lexus RX Mouse (Common)
This car has a mouse with a menu button in front of it and no buttons running down the side of the mouse.
4. 2013-15 Lexus RX Knob (Rare)
This car has a rotary knob that spins around.
While you are streaming music via CarPlay/Android Auto with your Hamilton Conversion Kit, all phone sounds and navigation instructions will play via the car speakers. However, if you are listening to the factory sealed FM, AM, or XM radio channels, it is not possible to mix audible turn instructions or other phone sounds into the OEM speakers. For this reason, we include the small speaker. It allows your phone system sounds to be integrated into the factory sealed radio channels.
It is a really cool feature that allows us to mix audio from CarPlay/Android Auto into your factory sealed radio channels (XM, FM, AM).

To set the 2010-2015 Lexus RX (No Mouse/No Knob) with the original monochromatic screen to AUX mode, simply push the button labeled AUX on the main radio.

I have a 2013 Lexus 350 RX . The kit came in a very nice box ( well protected ). Installation was really easy after watching Hamilton Installation videos. It looks and sounds great. It brings my older year car up to date. The only thing I don't care for is the boot up time for the screen . Its about 40 seconds to completely boot up . The OEM was slow also at 25 to 28 seconds . I do like the back up camera comes on at about 2 seconds even if the screen hasn't fully booted up . The music does start playing at 12 seconds even if the screen hasn't booted up . Thats better then OEM . If boot up time could be faster I would give 5 stars. I would buy again though .

We recently installed the 2010–2015 Lexus RX Hamilton Conversion Kit for CarPlay and Android Auto, and we could not be happier with the upgrade. The new 12.3-inch screen completely modernizes the interior and makes our RX look like a current-model Lexus, both in style and functionality. The display is bright, sharp, and feels like it was factory-installed, not an aftermarket add-on.
Wireless CarPlay connects quickly as soon as we start the car, and having both wired and wireless options for CarPlay and Android Auto gives us flexibility for longer trips or when we want to charge our phones. Navigation, calls, music, and messaging all work smoothly through the factory speakers, and there is no loss of any original Lexus functions, including the factory reverse camera.
We also appreciate that the system allows additional apps beyond CarPlay and Android Auto, which makes the unit feel like a full smart infotainment center rather than just a simple screen swap. Overall, this kit makes the vehicle feel up to date, adds tremendous convenience, and has given new life to our Lexus RX—we are very happy with the purchase and highly recommend it
Easy install overall, excellent system
$869 for unit, $250 installation, and my wife's Lexus with only 70K miles is good for another 10 years. Android Auto and is soooo much better than the Mfg Navigation with Serius! Everything is big and bold and sounds better! Couldn't be happier.

Like others who have commented, this isn't the first head unit I have installed in our 2010 RX350 with monochrome screen. But, it is the first one that 100% works! And to be honest, especially after seeing how the other units wired up, this is, by far, the easiest and simplest. The screen is not only an awesome size, but it is now in a reachable place. The display is modeled after current model cars and we couldn't be happier. And the installation videos are superior. Nothing is left for granted. Very detailed and helpful. I have had the opportunity to work with tech support. Again, top notch. Very responsive from pre-purchase throughout the install. Would highly recommend this unit and company in a heartbeat!
Received the package in a timely manner. Had watched a ton of YouTube install videos prior to attempting. I am mechanically inclined so wasn’t too nervous in undertaking it. Installed in about 3hrs, taking time to make sure everything was as it should be. Only difference is I removed the two side screws on the steering prior to starting the whole job and didn’t have to move the gear lever from parking. Beautiful item and worked right off the back, and I retained my factory screen options, including AC controls; but in better color this time.
