The 2012-2015 Lexus GS shipped from the factory with one of two original operating systems running on the factory radio. The hardware from Hamilton is the same for both devices. Based on what your factory operating system is, we configure our software settings slightly different. For this reason we ask whether you have the "Base" or "Premium/F-Sport" style. 

You can most easily and immediately tell which software version you have by looking at the below picture and matching to your car's original Home Screen. It's a great modern touch to the car. Radio starts playing right away while the system loads. The screen is less laggy than some OEM screens out there. The additional speaker for GPS is a good solution overall. Android Auto works well, and you can set it up to automatically start Android Auto when starting the car, which is nice.

I do slightly miss the fuel mileage graph from the OEM screen, and there seems to be missing the splitscreen functionality in OEM mode. However, these don't really matter too much.

Pretty straight forward install, had a hiccup with backup camera.
Sean was able to steer me in the right direction (just a setting) other than that it was super easy. Plug and play. It was a present for my son and he loves it. Thanks for the help and great product.

This is such an amazing upgrade from the OEM, would absolutely recommend it eyes closed, it’s buttery smooth, plays netflix/youtube and you can even play games lmao

Carplay is smooth, songs do take a little second in between changing but it’s manageable, the Mouse is actually precise and easy to use and the fact that is touchscreen changes the game completely

Overall super satisfied with my purchase, installation was easy as 123, Did have issues with back up camera but gave them a call and resolved it in 5 minutes, if you’re thinking about getting it, GET IT, it’s WORTH the money

The reason I went with Hamilton above all the other aftermarket screens for my Lexus GS 350 is because the convenience, the quick customer service and quality of the product. I wouldn’t say I have an expert when it comes to tech, but they made it very easy because they have the full tutorial on installation on YouTube as well as blogs and forms on their website should you come across a hiccup. I installed the whole thing myself and admittedly it was fun. It took maybe three hours as I was being careful, but it can be done in an hour or less than two if you’re confident. At first, I thought my quality of audio was compromised, but then with their reassurance, I found out that the audio quality from factory was not altered at all. I will admit it was definitely on the pricey side. But overall, I will say the product was great.

Excellent Product

Customer service - that's what will make this product and Hamilton successful. Had one minor problem with the installation related to the backup camera and it was quickly resolved by Hamilton via email and a return phone call. Product works as advertised and looks great in the GS. Installed myself with minimal issues - their YouTube videos are your best tool in this respect. Highly recommended.

Upgraded from 2015 to 2025

I have a 2015 Lexus GS 350 F Sport rear wheel drive. My car didn’t come with Apple CarPlay. I used to get so jealous of friends with newer cars that had it even though they weren’t even luxury cars. Well not anymore! I upgraded to the Hamilton Conversion Kit with wireless connectivity and a large 12 inch touchscreen. It looks amazing and integrates with my factory system flawlessly. I recommend spending the money for this kit over ones on EBay and Amazon due to the custom support and 3 year warranty. I had a couple of issues after installation and I got same day responses via email and over the phone. Completely resolved my issues. You get what you pay for sometimes.
