While using wireless or wired CarPlay you will have access to all CarPlay features, similar to a brand-new vehicle. Outside of CarPlay in the Hamilton underlying operating system, you can install apps that may not be available in CarPlay. This gives you functionality that is more powerful than the newest cars on the market.

This system maintains your original factory functionality including your steering wheel controls, backup camera, and your XM, FM, and AM radio. It has wireless and wired CarPlay and Android Auto. Outside of CarPlay, it has a custom Hamilton-based OS that allows you to load apps directly onto the unit. You can install an optional 4G SIM card for the unit to have its own data connection. Note: The rear climate control system cannot be adjusted through the Hamilton unit.

The 2010-2013 Lexus GX Hamilton Conversion Kit does preserve your factory radio, so you can continue to use your OEM XM, FM, or AM radio features. That being said, you will not be able to switch back into your OEM screen. The original features are combined into the Hamilton OS, but original settings are no longer accessible. Please closely review our FAQ for important product differences between the Hamilton OS and your factory system.

Yes, the 2010-2013 Lexus GX Hamilton Conversion Kit for CarPlay and Android Auto has both wireless and wired CarPlay and Android Auto built into it.
Does the Hamilton Conversion Kit preserve my factory microphone? How about factory radio?
This Hamilton Conversion Kit will use your factory microphone. It takes over your vehicle's AUX input for CarPlay audio streaming. While using CarPlay you can also have audio streaming from your XM, FM, or AM radio. When using factory radio channels, Siri will talk through the small optional included speaker. When using AUX mode to stream from CarPlay (Spotify/Apple Music/etc) Siri will talk through all the vehicle speakers.
Should I note any important limitations about the Hamilton Conversion Kit?
We want you to be very familiar with our product to help you make the most informed decision.
Please note after installing the Hamilton Conversion Kit for 2010-2013 Lexus GX, you will not be able to access your factory screen anymore. You will retain XM, FM, and AM audio channels via the Hamilton OS.
It is important you forget your device from your factory Bluetooth and turn off factory Bluetooth prior to uninstalling your original screen. You also should set your factory AUX mode DSP settings to the neutral positions, as the Hamilton Conversion Kit will use your factory AUX mode to play audio and have a new Hamilton DSP.
Do all climate features remain? How does the climate control work?
We have created a page in the Hamilton OS that adjusts your factory climate control. It is very easy to use. You may also use the physical controls on the front of the Hamilton Conversion Kit. Here are some important details:
- You can lock and unlock the rear climate controls from the Hamilton climate app on the Hamilton home page. You may also adjust the rear climate controls from the Hamilton Conversion Kit. To do this, touch the "Rear" icon in the Hamilton climate app and the rear controls will appear.
- Pressing the "Dual" icon in the Hamilton climate page will lock and unlock the passenger and driver climate controls.
- Hamilton fully supports the original dust and pollen filter feature. It will be available in your Hamilton climate page also.
- When adjusting climate controls, a small pop up will appear from the right. To make adjustments, select the Hamilton climate app on home screen.
