The 2010-2015 Lexus RX Apple CarPlay Conversion Kit is both touchscreen and fully compatible with your factory vehicle mouse or knob. It is equipped with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of ROM. The Hamilton Conversion Kit is equipped with a high-end Qualcomm processor for responsive performance, making it snappy and modern in feel.
The modern high-resolution touchscreen will allow your device to be fully touchscreen in CarPlay or Android Auto. For the 2013-2015 version, the original mouse/knob will also work on the new Hamilton OS for use in CarPlay or Android Auto. For the 2010-2012 versions, the mouse will work on the original Lexus side, and CarPlay/Android Auto will be touchscreen-only. In all versions, the original Lexus side remains mouse/knob only and is not touchscreen.
The 2010-2015 Lexus RX with no mouse/no knob is the version of the car that shipped from the factory with the very basic grey monochromatic screen. For this car, you cannot switch back to see the original screen, but the features from that screen are built into the Hamilton custom operating system.

Will this kit preserve all my original features?
Yes, the 2009-2015 Lexus RX Hamilton Conversion Kit for CarPlay and Android Auto will keep your original backup camera, steering wheel controls, XM, FM, and AM radio, as well as access to all original Lexus OS and menus. You will not lose any factory systems with this kit.
How do I easily know which year version I have?
There are four options. The 10-12 RX mouse and 13-15 RX mouse are most common.
1. 2010-12 Lexus RX Mouse (Common)
This version of mouse has large "Enter" buttons running down the side of the mouse.
2. 2010-15 Lexus RX No Mouse No Knob (Less Common)
This car has no knob or mouse but has an original monochrome grey screen that looks like a calculator.
3. 2013-15 Lexus RX Mouse (Common)
This car has a mouse with a menu button in front of it and no buttons running down the side of the mouse.
4. 2013-15 Lexus RX Knob (Rare)
This car has a rotary knob that spins around.
What is the purpose of the small speaker in my box?
While you are streaming music via CarPlay/Android Auto with your Hamilton Conversion Kit, all phone sounds and navigation instructions will play via the car speakers. However, if you are listening to the factory sealed FM, AM, or XM radio channels, it is not possible to mix audible turn instructions or other phone sounds into the OEM speakers. For this reason, we include the small speaker. It allows your phone system sounds to be integrated into the factory sealed radio channels.
It is a really cool feature that allows us to mix audio from CarPlay/Android Auto into your factory sealed radio channels (XM, FM, AM).
